National Playgroup Week
Playgroup Australia, in partnership with State and Territory Playgroup Associations, will celebrate National Playgroup Week from 21 to 27 March 2010. Families with children 0 - 5 years of age, whether they participate in playgroup or not, are invited to take part in fun events to be held in every state and territory. It's a perfect time for parents with babies and children under five to find out about playgroups near them, and to discover what playgroup is all about. We are delighted to announce that Hi-5 are involved in National Playgroup Week 2010! This year's theme "Celebrating Playgroup - A World of Connections"sums up what's great about playgroups - helping families connect with each other and with their local community. Free Family Fun Day
Visitors will enjoy the magnificent autumn splendour of the Gardens along with free interpretive walks and talks conducted by Volunteer Guides suitable for both children and adults. Children will be well catered for on the day with the Parks Victoria Education Officer, Michelle Doherty, offering an array of hands on activities. Some of the highlights of the day will be appearances by Ranger Roo, animals from the wild and face painting. Bring along a picnic lunch or food is available to purchase.- Date:
